my main bass, the musicman bongo hs

basswood body, maple neck, rosewood fretboard, 24 frets with 18volts active electronics.

purchased in 07', at like a week before holloween.

(this bass was sold to a good friend of mine steven in 2009, after i purchased another bongo, the 5 string hh with bfr 1 piece rosewood neck)

big fat modern chunky tone(because of the active electronics), weights 8lbs, great slim neck.  it's just a addictive instrument.

i was first cinsidering the stingray5 hh and the 30th anniversary stingray 4, but in terms of the playability, the weight, which is a big issue, and the pricing.  this bongo beats the others.  what i needed was something that's easy to play and sounds good, stingray5 was good, but to me the pickup switch system was too much to learn.  the 30th anniv ray4 was a cool looking and sounding instrument.  the thought came across in mind was that i'll probably get these signatured sounding bass by the day i need such sound, just like the j bass.  the bongo cost less too, and it's gold.
