Here's comes another best work that a top builder can possibly offer in the high end bass world.  This is what Fbass brought to the Namm show in 2018 to please the bass society.

Background:
George Furlanetto has been building world class instruments in the past 30+ years, and the son Marcell has been actively helping out in the past few years, their full range, big and clean sounding BN(Bolt On) has been a dream bass for many players all over the world, the famous Alain Carron signature AC fretless basses has been the 'King of Fretless' for decades, and later their VF lines has fulfill the need of whoever needs that Fender vibe. Fbass is the first fancy bass that I got to tried in person and realized how great a piece of wood can resonant, and I still remember how the Piano alike tone sounds like after these many years. Their world class instruments are proudly made in Canada.

Playability:
The playability of this bass is effortless, the ergonomic body shape, where the neck tilts up naturally makes it extra easy for the fretting hand, and you can hardly tell the extra 0.5" in the neck. Neck is a medium C neck, feels solid yet easy to play.

Sound:
Unlike their popular maple/ash 70s style BN5s, this is a more wood sounding bass, the roasted ash body and Macassar ebony fingerboard makes the bass richer and more focus sounding, and has a naturally sweet upper mid that just sings. With the tone control(a must have) and the very musical yet transparent sounding preamp, this bass covers alot throughout all range that covers most style. Solid low B string while easy to handle neck at 34.5” .

Thoughts:
This is a show piece with several upgrades that you don’t often see. The ease of play, open yet organic sounding no matter it's plugged in or unplug all these things makes it on par with any other top of the line builders. This is definitely a very special one.
